Freeze the apps you rarely use
Frozen apps are tucked away in Ice Box. Hidden from the system, and unable to run in the background.
Tap to open. Lock to refreeze.
Tap a frozen app and it opens right away. With Auto Freeze on, it goes back into the box when you lock the screen.
Help
How do I set it up without root?
With a computer, use the one-click activator to set up Device Owner mode once, and it keeps working. On Android 11 and later, Wireless debugging works right on the phone.
Do frozen apps still send notifications?
A frozen app cannot run, so it gets no push messages of its own. On some phones the system push service may still show notifications, which you can turn off in system settings.
How do I update a frozen app?
Defrost it in Ice Box, update it, then freeze it again.
Is "This device is managed" normal?
Yes, that is how Device Owner mode works. You can change the name it shows in Ice Box under "Laboratory".
How do I uninstall Ice Box?
Defrost everything first, then tap "Uninstall" in Ice Box settings. In Device Owner mode, do not uninstall it from the home screen.
New phone. How do I restore my purchase?
Tap "I've purchased" on the purchase screen. Google Play purchases need the Play version; other channels use your order number. See the purchase guide.
